Easy access to technology has become one of the key enablers in accelerating the adoption of clean energy across the industrial sector. In collaboration with Pamerindo Indonesia, SUN Energy hosted an educational forum designed to help industrial players in Central Java and East Java transition more rapidly toward clean energy solutions.

During the forum, SUN Energy introduced and demonstrated the use of the Solar Calculator. This web-based digital tool enables companies to estimate their optimal solar power capacity, monthly and annual cost savings, as well as the potential reduction in carbon emissions.

Powered by AI technology, the Solar Calculator uses inputs such as electricity bills, installed power capacity, roof size and type, and the property’s geolocation (integrated with Google Maps). The tool was developed by SUN Energy in 2022, in response to the growing need for data-driven decision-making in evaluating the business case for solar adoption.

“By using SUN Energy’s Solar Calculator, companies can instantly understand the business benefits of solar energy, identify opportunities for operational savings, and make more informed and strategic decisions,” said Anggita Pradipta, Group Head of Marketing at SUN Energy.

“This tool serves as a powerful starting point—not only for engineering teams, but also for finance, sustainability divisions, and top management looking to see a concrete business case for solar adoption,” she added.

The initiative aligns with the Indonesian government’s Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) 2025–2034, which positions solar as a central pillar in the national energy transition, targeting 17.1 GW of new solar capacity. The Solar Calculator offers a practical and measurable solution to support this transformation at the industrial level.

Beyond the technology demo, the forum also featured open discussions and real-world case studies of solar energy implementation across various sectors. Topics included integrating renewable energy in manufacturing, green financing schemes such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), leveraging clean energy as a strategic business advantage, and green transformation as a competitive edge.

This initiative is part of SUN Energy’s ongoing commitment to deliver innovative, scalable, and accessible solutions that accelerate solar energy adoption in Indonesia’s industrial sector.
